About Me
I'm Mali Lev & i started my restaurant career in NYC working my way up the ladder as a busser, server, bartender to shift manager at various upscale restaurants, while studying for my degree in Advertising, Marketing and Communications. After graduating Magna Cum Laude I realized my passions lay in the hospitality world.
I was able to fine-tune my management skills as the Service Director at Pastis, one of NYC's busiest and most iconic restaurants, where I was responsible for the training of the entire service staff. After 5 years at Pastis, I moved on to become the Opening General Manager at Commerce NYC and later the Assistant General Manager and Service Director at Buddakan NYC.
After 14 years in NYC I moved back to Israel bringing the hosting, service, management techniques & approaches I mastered to TLV restaurants & hotels.
In the last decade, I have consulted for various restaurants, hotels & organizations across the world focusing on everything from new openings to fine-tuning already established opperations. My expertise includes management training and orientation, staff training and sales, restaurant organization, creating operational manuals, menu writing and translation. All with an emphasis on the importance of creating a memorable experience through hosting.
